In May 2010 FB&T hosted Older Americans Day at the Flora Golden Circle Nutrition Center. Several employees participated in serving meals to those in attendance. A good time was had by all.

Recently, we received several really good pictures from that day and we wanted to share them with you. They have been added to our Facebook page that can be accessed using the link that is at the top of every page. Enjoy!

Helping Hands Bake Sale at Relay for Life

The Helping Hands Committee of Flora Bank & Trust will be having a bake sale at this years Relay for Life event. They will be selling baked goods, drinks, and curly fries with cheese. All proceeds are donated to the Relay for Life.

If you would like to make a donation to Relay for Life, please put your donation in an envelope labeled “Relay for Life” and drop it off at any of our branch locations.

You can also donate online by visiting our FB&T Relay for Life Team Page and clicking “Donate to Our Team”.

Shop with a Cop Golf Scramble

In 2009 approximately 150 kids were helped to purchase coats, shoes, and every day clothing. This year, on Friday, June 25th, the Shop with a Cop program will be hosting it’s 5th Annual Golf Scramble Fundraiser. The scramble will consist of 4 person teams and includes the golfing, a cart, and lunch. Everyone is welcome, so put together a team and help make 2010 a great year.

Cost: $50 per person (4 person team)
Location: Richland County Country Club
Date: Friday, June 25, 2010
Tee Time: 9:00 AM

Flora Rotary Club Fundraiser - 4 Man Scramble

The Flora Rotary Club is hosting a fundraiser for the Rotary International PolioPlus Program. This year’s event will be held Thursday, June 10th at Flora Golf & Country Club in Flora, Illinois.

Registration and lunch are at Noon and the Shotgun Start is at 1:00 PM.

Registration is only $50 per player and this includes 18 holes of golf, riding cart, lunch, and a shot at $10,000.

Movies in the Park

May 22, 2010

@ Library Park

The Flora Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a summertime event, “Movies in the Park”. Starting in May and continuing through August a movie will be shown outdoors in Library Park. The movie will start at dusk and there will be free popcorn for everyone. Also, soda, water, and light up toys will be for sale.

The movie for May 22 is “The Blind Side” starring Sandra Bullock, Tim McGraw, and Quinton Aaron.

Everyone is encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs for seating. Children ages 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
